Hon’ble PM of India Sri Narendra Modi had left to Indonesia on Tuesday for a five day visit. Modi will be visiting Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia in this five day tour. The main aim for PM’s visit is to boost the Act East policy and also to make a strategic partnership with the above said and all the ASEAN Countries.
Modi will be first visiting Indonesia, Modi was given a warm welcome in Jakarta by the president Joko Widodo. Later in the discussions various kinds of development programs related to Defence, space, S&T, Railways, Pharma were being discussed. Also the much awaited India-Indonesia Maritime cooperation in the Indo Pacific region was agreed during PM’s visit.
Meanwhile Modi also visited the Istiqlal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world.
