On the eve of NTR’s birth anniversary, the makers announced that the prestigious biopic of legendary NTR will be directed by Krish. Nandamuri Balakrishna will be stepping into the shoes of his father NTR and the film too has been titled NTR. Teja was the director roped in for the movie but he walked out of the project citing pressure. The makers have been in hunt and Balakrishna felt that Krish would be apt choice as he worked with him for Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Krish who is busy with Manikarnika is back to Hyderabad and is re-working on the script and is finalizing the cast, crew. The regular shoot is expected to commence later this year and NTR will hit the screens during Sankranthi 2019. NBK Films, Vibri Media and Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram will produce NTR which has been launched officially some time ago. While Vidya Balan has been roped in as the female lead, Rana Daggubati essays Chandra Babu Naidu in NTR.
