Superstar Rajinikanth is sure not a happy man as his recent outing Kaala is a disaster and his next outing 2.0 release has been pushed further. The principle shoot of 2.0 has been wrapped up long ago but the VFX work is yet to be completed. 2.0 is said to be the costliest film made in the history of Indian cinema and the makers allotted Rs 400 crores for the film. The film’s release has been delayed several times and 2.0 will not hit the screens this year.
As per the update, this delay costed Rs 100 crores more for the makers which is shocking. The buyers too have been mounting pressure to return their advance amounts. 2.0 is expected to release during the Republic Day weekend next year and Shankar would announce things soon after the VFX work gets wrapped up. Amy Jackson is the heroine and AR Rahman is the music composer. Lyca Productions is investing funds for the film.
