YCP MP’s from AP state have submitted their resignation to their MP post on Tuesday. As a protest against BJP for not granting the special category status to AP, YCP MP’s have resigned from Lok sabha. The resignation letters of the respective MP’s have been sent to the speaker Sumithra Mahajan. After a long battle, many disputes and two consecutive adjourned parliament sessions YCP MP’s have decided to quit from their respective posts.
Soon after YCP MP’s have resigned from Lok sabha YCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy challenged TDP MP’s to resign and stand united in favour of people of AP in the Special category status issue. YCP MP’s including Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, YV Subbareddy, K Varaprasad, Mithun Reddy YS Avinash Reddy have given their resignation letters to the speaker. Even though they were asked to reconsider their decision YCP MP’s stood firm on their resignations, and later they started to AP Bhavan where they will do fasting until Central grants Special status to AP.
YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy Tweeted that he is proud of our MP’s who stood firm on their resignations and ensured their acceptance showing that APSCS is our top priority.
