Sri Nara lokesh Minister for Panchayath Raj, Rural Development, IT&C, tweeted on the ongoing issue of uddanam kidney patients. Lokesh nara raised his voice over twitter and made strong counters to opposition parties. He said that it is better to know the facts before we jump into some conclusions. Lokesh took his official twitter handle to tell the people of AP that what actions government had taken on CKD issue.
Lokesh nara tweeted that more than 1lakh people were screened by 15 mobile teams in 4 months, 13,093 with abnormal test results were referred to nearby 4 CHCs for evaluation. Also a new lab was established at CHC, sompeta to follow up CKD cases. To make dialysis services more accessible to people 3 new renal Dialysis units were developed at CHCs palasa.

Lokesh also said that George Institute for Global Health from Australia was chosen by ICMR to research on the root causes of CKD problem in Uddanam area and take effective preventive measures.
